HOW TO STUDY MATH

Review notes and/or classwork after class.

Copy formulas and examples onto index cards.

Read and re-read the textbook. Solve and re-solve classwork problems.

Find several study partners, then call and discuss your questions. Never copy answers directly; cheaters never prosper.

Schedule a consistent time for math homework.

THE LOGIC OF PROBLEM SOLVING • Read the entire problem to get a general idea. • Read the problem again, this time answers the following three questions. 1. What is given? 2. What am I asked to find? 3. How am I going to do it? • Draw diagrams whenever possible.
